Report for Friday, Nov 6th

Movie Review Friday: Let Him Go. I loved it, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane are husband and wife and he’s a retired sheriff from Montana. When they learn their son has died from mysterious circumstances and their daughter in law has remarried a monster of a man and that their grandson is being abused; Kevin and Diane head to North Dakota to see their grandson. However it is quickly apparent they need to rescue their grandson from this horrible twisted, evil new family. This film is over the top brutal, over the top violent and over the top suspenseful, that will keep you on the edge of your seat and yet it’s heart wrenching. Kevin Costner is one of those actors, different from a Tom Cruise type, that you forget it’s Costner and he takes on the person he’s playing. Diane Lane is 55 but still hot and the two villains played by Lesley Manville and Jeff Donovan are fabulous. You hate them from the get go, but you’ll love this movie (4 Stars).

Odds and Ends: TMZ’s ratings have dropped 50%, their web site is down almost as much. I saw Harvey Levin everyday at O.J.’s trial and he had the best connections in town. Example, TMZ broke Michael Jackson’s death. However, the show is more about C, D and F celebrities that nobody cares about. You’d expect more from TMZ. … Britney Spears not only wants her dad out of her conservatorship, Is It True, Britney has secured a lawyer, suggesting her dad stole money from her. Don’t know about that but I do know Britney’s dad saved her life when she was suicidal and out of control. … Craziest quote of the year from Ricky Gervais who said, “I believe there could be a second wave of this Coronavirus that could wipe out humanity.” Question, since when has Ricky Gervais become a doctor? … What city did you meet your spouse? I ask because Nicole Kidman has invited never before married, Charlize Theron to stay with her and hubby Keith at their Nashville home so they can introduce her to eligible men, not phony guys from the L.A. or New York.
