I don’t want to jinx it, however the Studio/SAG Strike could end soon.
Movie Reviews: Opening today, What Happens Later. A romantic comedy with Meg Ryan and David Duchovny. Sappy, disappointing (100 Minutes) – (2 ½ Stars). … On the other hand, Rustin, Priscilla, Killers of the Flower Moon all playing 3 Stars.
Movie News: Coming November 22nd, Napoleon. Starring Joaquin Phoenix as the French Dictator. This is a Masterpiece, can’t wait and Oscar nominations guaranteed.
TV News: So Britney Spears is reportedly shopping a TV series, comment, there is no way Britney would get a TV series. While she might get a one time biography deal, or an hour special, but a series is out of the question! Even a 10 episode series demands a heavy insurance policy, don’t see any underwriter guaranteeing that Britney would show up day after day, week after week and do a show! I don’t see it. … There are two shows coming later this month I do recommend. The sixth season of The Crown on Netflix airing in two parts. The first part will air November 16th and will show the automobile crash that killed Princess Di in Paris. There is already controversy about this, because the crash scenes are graphic and gruesome. Part two airs December 14th. … And get ready, the fifth season of Fargo airs November 21st and this will be the best Fargo ever! Starring Jon Hamm and a lot of guest stars. On FX, followed a week later on Hulu.
Odds and Ends: Robert De Niro is involved in a weird double lawsuit. De Niro accuses his female assistant of stealing. She accuses him of gender discrimination, whatever that is. F.Y.I. De Niro owns part of the Nobu’s chain of 36 hotels and 55 restaurants? Ka-ching! … So while Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were shopping to downsize to a $20-25 million house, they rented an $85 million mansion with 12 bedrooms, 17 bathrooms, an elevator, full gym, cigar and wine rooms, movie theater on 1.5 acres for $27,000 a month. Ridiculous!
And I’m happy to report I put up my Christmas tree yesterday.
