Report for Friday, May 7th

Movie Review Friday: My wife and I don’t always agree on films but it’s never because we are so superficial and trying to be so hip that we can’t see the tenderness, heart and the soul of a movie. Some Rotten Tomatoes critics want to be too hip for the room and by doing so are missing the forest for the trees. And with that said, my review of the movie. Here Today, starring Billy Crystal and Tiffany Haddish. I really loved this film. Billy is suffering from early dementia and his unique friendship with Tiffany is sweet, funny and heart warming. Their acting is solid and while some of Billy’s jokes are a little corny, it’s to be expected in his condition. This movie is delightful and touching (3 Stars), which is my 90%, and for the record Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 58%.

Next, Wrath of Man, is the opposite of Here Today. It’s violent, full of revenge with a lot of shoot-em-up/blow-em-up starring Jason Statham who is out to settle the score of his son being killed. I love good versus evil when good kicks ass and this movie does that (Rated R) – (2 Hours) – (3 Stars). Oh yeah, Rotten Tomatoes gave it only a a 67%.

TV News: I’m hearing the rehearsals for Saturday Night Live with Elon Musk are going great. This could be a lot better than we expected. Can’t believe it, but I’m actually going to watch. … For the record, Handmaids Tale’s fourth season is the most watch show in Hulu’s history. … What a joke. CBS has offered Melinda Gates a million dollars to do 60 Minutes. Has CBS lost their mind? Melinda already got $1.6 Billion in stocks. Don’t think she needs their money.
