Last day for the Pop Quiz Theme of Hollywood studs. Today, he had a relative who was Miss Kentucky, had a relative that was a TV News Anchor, suffers from bleeding ulcers, doesn’t do drugs but will drink a 6-pack of beer a night, and is a season ticket holder to the Dallas Maverick. Is it Ryan Phillippe, Matthew McConaughey, George Clooney or Justin Timberlake?
Movie Review Friday: And let’s start with the best, John Wick: Chapter 3 is fabulous! More action than any movie I’ve ever seen. And Keanu Reeves deserves Oscar consideration, and so does 6-toe Hallie Berry. With $14 million on John Wick’s head, that’s dead, not alive, every assassin, special forces, international dirtbags, killers and gangs are out to get him. It’s a ruthless, blood thirsty free for all. Every 3 minutes somebody is getting shot, stabbed beheaded or maimed. It’s amazing. (Rated R) – (2 Hours 17 Minutes) – (4 Stars).
Next, A Dog’s Journey. If you like dogs you’ll love this. Corny, sappy and sometimes over acted, still worthy. Different from a lot of reviewers, I’m not so snooty and high browed, that I can’t enjoy a simple, happy family film. Bailey is a great dog, voiced by Josh Gad who keeps coming back to life as a puppy to take care of the next generation of his family. (Rated PG) – (Under 2 Hours) – (3 ½ Stars).
You’ll have to look for, Meanest Man in Texas, it’s the true story of Clyde Thompson. In 1928, Clyde killed 2 men, sentenced to the electric chair then commuted, but then sent to the most violent prison farm in America. But he’s not the meanest man in Texas, but he is complicated. Great story, a docudrama starring a brilliant Mateous Ward.
(No Rating) – (105 Minutes) – (3 Stars).
N.Y. Post Headline: Above the story Anthony Weiner has finally been released from prison, Post headline screams, “Weiner Happy To Be Out.”
Answer – George Clooney.
