Report for Friday, May 13th

Movie Review Friday: Starting with Firestarter. Zac Efron plays the Dad and Sydney Lemmon plays the Mom of their daughter played by Ryan Kiera Armstrong who can create huge fires. The government wants the daughter and use her for a war weapon.  A horror, thriller film that keeps you on the edge of your seat (Rated R) – (110 Minutes) – (3 Stars).

Next, Family Camp, is as goofy, slapstick and silly movie, you could possibly imagine. It starts off when a preacher encourages his congregation for families to go to camp together and two different families agree. There are some funny scenes but it’s mainly silly. Family Camp is however a family movie (Rated PG) – (2 Hours) –  (3 Stars), take the kids. …  My recommendation, Go see Dr. Strange. Playing everywhere (4 Stars).

TV News: Real reason Ken Jennings has been replaced by Mayim Bialik are two fold. Ken wanted a lot more money and Ken was considered a bit of a maintenance problem. … George Lopez got a new TV series, also staring his daughter, Mayan, a family sitcom. Wonder if they will have an episode where George needs a kidney and gets one from his wife and then divorces her after surgery, oh wait that happened in real life. Lopez is a jerk! … Tony Romo says Tom Brady will find moving to the booth after retiring is very hard. … TV ratings news, the three shows last week with the biggest spikes were, 60 Minutes, NCIS and no surprise, NBA Play-offs, great segue.

Sports Shorts: One of my favorite sporting events starts this weekend, women’s college Softball Conference Tournaments, Big 10, SEC, Pack 10, and all the others, all on ESPN. Some people will do anything for money, former PGA Hall of Famer, Greg Norman who use to hook-up Bill Clinton with women when he was president, is being paid millions by the Saudi Government to promote their new PGA tour and was asked about stories that the Saudi Arabia government murdered Washington Post Journalist Jamal Kashsogi, Norman said, “Everybody makes mistakes.” What the hell?
