Love Nugget: For three years Halle Berry (56) and music master Van Hunt (53) have been quietly dating and friends say they expect a wedding before the end of the year. … Emily Blunt and husband John Krasinski say being actors is never fair, heartbreaking, disappointing and not real life. It’s Movie Review Friday and we start with the seventh installment of the Transformer franchise. Rise of the Beast, produced by Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg. It’s the Autobots and Maximals working together in a brainless, bombastic fiasco, however it’s a Transformer movie, so what do you expect? Voices of Peter Dinklage, Ron Perlman and Pete Davidson add absolutely nothing to this movie, it’s all about robots and war. Love the locations from New York City with the Twin Towers to Paris, France. It is what it is (PG-13) – (2 Hours) – (3 Stars).
Speaking of Pete Davidson, with his last F.U. and a lot more vulgar slams at people who suggested he should have adopted a dog scheduled to be euthanize instead of paying a puppy mill $3,000 for a dog. Some of his friends have blasted him for his comments including Ariana Grande, John Mayer and Kate Beckinsale.
Movie News: You can take it to the bank, Dana Carvey and Mike Myers will definitely do Wayne’s World 3. Currently in pre-production meetings.
Sports Shorts: While everybody is talking about the NBA playoffs and Stanley Cup, the new rules to speed up MLB with the timer on the pitchers, limits on pick-off plays and more, attendance for the league is up 9% from last year and St. Louis, Philadelphia, Houston, Baltimore, Toronto and Milwaukee attendance is up 17 to 23%. And by the way, if you are jonesing for football, Canadian pro football started this week.
Another week passed still no word on Jamie Foxx and the suspense goes one more notch!
