Report for Friday, June 14th

Movie Review Friday: And despite this being Father’s Day Weekend, all the movie news are for the kids. Opening today, Inside Out 2, the second in the franchises, the animated delight! Now a teenager, Riley is experiencing new emotions. Kids and parents will jointly enjoy it. This is a Disney/Pixar tag team, isn’t Toy Story, but it’s really good. (Rated PG) – (100 Minutes) – (3.5) Stars). … Also held over just for kids, The Garfield Movie and IF and both 3 Stars, and Dad’s, Bad Boys Ride or Die is still playing and it gets 3 Stars.

Speaking of movies, did you see the 1998 movie, Practical Magic w/Nichole Kidman and Sandra Bullock as two orphaned sisters who come from a long line of witches! It cost $75 million but brought in only $46 million, worldwide! It was called a comedy, drama, fantasy, but a financial disaster. However, thanks to a streaming success, there’s going to be a sequel and Nicole and Sandra will star again, hopefully with better results!

TV News: The Premier of House of the Dragon Season 2 is on Sunday on HBO, and a third season of House of Dragons has been green lighted. … More TV Renewals, a third season of Missing Persons on Fox, Seth McFarland’s Ted renewed for a third season on the Peacock Network. Also on Peacock and renewed, Law and Order: Organized Crime – Season 5. … There’s the fifth season renewal for Equalizer on CBS and while not confirmed yet I’m hearing that NCIS: Hawaii will be renewed in a couple weeks. I hope so. … And a new TV show called Chop Shop will star Christina Ricci and should be great! A true crime series set against a funeral business in 1980 in the San Fernando Valley! Can’t wait!
