Report for Friday, Jun 21st

Movie Review Friday: Simple, Inside Out 2, IF, Garfield are all still playing and great for kids. Bad Boys: Ride or Die is still great and still playing! But some big movies are coming next week, including Kevin Costner’s Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1.

Last week Jerry West, Tuesday Willie Mays and yesterday Donald Sutherland, all dead! Donald was 88. A Canadian, he was very close to his son Kiefer. My favorite Donald films, M*A*S*H*, Pride and Prejudiced, Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Donald Sutherland as we say back home in Hawaii, make. May he rest in peace. F.Y.I. got a lot of e-mails yesterday about sleaze bag Bill Cosby being near death. Well, got even more e-mails yesterday saying too bad Cosby didn’t die instead of Donald.

Been a lot of buzz about the Michael Jackson biopic/documentary. And a lot of buzz about the SNL 75 biopic/documentary. And yesterday insiders buzzing about the Ronald Reagan biopic/documentary starring Dennis Quaid. I didn’t know Reagan well, but was a very close friend with his daughter Maureen when we both worked at KABC radio and played tennis together every Tuesday and Thursday for a couple years! Another sidebar, my daughter Lacy got the four year Ronald Reagan scholarship at his alma mater, Eureka Collage in Illinois. On my home page is a picture of Lacy and Reagan! As for the movie, well, like me or hate me, I believe it will be a great piece of American history. Opens Nationwide August 24th.

Update: Ellen DeGeneres lost her TV talk show over two years ago when it came out she was mean, cruel, cold and rude to her staff. But for the last two years Ellen has made millions buying, selling and flipping houses. Later this summer Ellen will announce a national stand-up comedy tour. Comment, enough time has passed, she’s always been hilarious!
