Movie Review: Deadpool and Wolverine is exciting, thrilling, hilarious and has incredible special effects. It is very fast paced, never a dull moment, touching with heart. Yet there is also a sense of urgency can be felt though out. To me the most surprising nuggets, the many laugh out loud moments and the many F-bombs there are! Marvel and Disney studio’s did a great job (Rated R) – (2 Hours) – (3.5 Stars). And while everybody is talking about Deadpool, don’t forget Twisters, and for the kids Despicable Me 4 is still playing as well.
The Olympics kick-off tonight and with that, I want to share a couple personal Olympic nuggets. One of the highlights of my long and blessed career came in 1984 when I was doing mornings at the #1 KROQ, in Los Angeles. Every Friday afternoon I would take a cast and crew to one of the huge Red Onion Restaurants, which held hundreds of people for my very popular, Finally a Friday Aloha Party! People waited in line for hours to get a seat, it was always packed. We played the Dating Game, Let’s Make a Deal, Newlywed Game. And the fabulous KROQ bikini girls were always there! A couple months before the 1984 L.A. Olympics my G.M. called me into a meeting with Peter Ueberroth, the chairman of the 84 games. Mr. Ueberroth had been to one of my Finally a Friday Aloha Parties and wanted me to do those parties every night for the athletes in the athlete’s villages! In return we had VIP passes and went to all the events while getting to know the athletes from around the world. It was fabulous. Now a not so happy Olympic nugget. I was at the 1996 Atlanta games in the park when the bomb went off, killing 2, injuring many!
