Report for Friday, Jan 7th

Beautiful Love Nugget: Asked why she liked Pete Davidson, Kim Kardashian said, “He’s the first man who makes me both laugh and feel good about myself.”

Movie Review Friday: Opening today, The 355.  Shoot em-up, blow em up, beat-em-up, but a whole lot more beat em up than needed and all the fisticuffs are female stars, Jessica Chastain, Penelope Cruz, Diane Kruger and Fan Bingbing. It’s about a stolen secret weapon that the CIA and other authorities must recover. While full of incredible action, decent writing and good acting, it is also full of mindless over the top violence and it’s all the violence that drives this vehicle. (2 Hours) – (PG13) – (3 Stars). … Also opening in wider release, American Underdog. The great story of former St. Louis Ram quarterback who went from grocery stock clerk to Super Bowl Champion (4 Stars).

Odd Movie News: Nicholas Cage begged his uncle, Francis Ford Coppola, to let him appear in any of the Godfather movies which Coppola directed. However, Coppola just told his nephew he just didn’t have the chops and there wasn’t a part that fit.

Bad Movie News: Warning, Netflix is getting a lot of hits on a new movie called, Lost Daughter. This is boring, pointless and a waste of your time. You’ve been warned.

Show runners are pitching a TV movie about the life of Marlon Brando which I believe would be fascinating. From his great acting, his politics, his best friend Jack Nicholson, his kids, to finally rumors Brando and Wally Cox had a long running gay relationship.

TV News: Hulu’s Pam and Tommy, the series that looks into Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s meeting, the sex, the drugs, the rock and roll, their battles, the sex tape that was stolen and distribute and more will air February 2nd with Pamela played by Lily James and Tommy played by Sebastian Stan. I hear this will be great.

Personal Note: Went into a Walmart Super Grocery store and asked where the milk was, worker said, “There is no milk.” Sure enough, 6 empty shelves. What the hell?
