Movie Reviews: While Rotten Tomatoes panned The Last Full Measure, I loved it. Guess they just don’t like true stories about true American war hero’s, but I do. (4 Stars). … Okay, now The Gentlemen. It’s directed by Guy Ritchie about an American who moves to London and builds a Marijuana business worth millions. When he decides to sell the pot empire, it turns into a non-stop hilarious, violent, satire that is full of surprises. Staring Matthew McConaughey, Colin Farrell, Hugh Grant, Jeremy Strong and Downton Abbey’s hottie Michelle Dockery. While this is not a great film making nor superb thespian performances, I still liked it. Cleaver, yet silly and has attitude but yet shallow. I’ll admit, it’s over the top, however it’s still worth the ticket. (Rated R) – (Under 2 Hours) – (3 Stars). … And I’ll make this short but sweet, how could a horror movie starring Nicolas Cage and Tommy Chong be good? It sounds horrible but it’s spectacular. In limited release it’s called, Color Out of Space. If meteors, a mutant creature and horrific fear tickles your fancy, don’t miss Color Out of Space. (Rated R) – (Under 2 Hours) – (3 Stars).
Odds and Ends: What is the real deal with Madonna canceling all these concert dates? Started back on Thanksgiving when she canceled a show in Boston I was there for. She’s blamed it on flu, bad back, leg aches, hip problems, laryngitis and old age.
