Report for Friday, Feb 25th

Love Nuggets: It is official, Ben Stiller and his almost ex-wife Christine Taylor are back together after breaking up four years ago! They have two teen age children.

Movie Review Friday: Two movies opening today and they couldn’t be more different. First, Studio 666, featuring the Foo Fighters in a supernatural, gory, over the top, bloody sometime disgusting adventure. It happens in a haunted mansion in Los Angeles’s San Fernando Valley with a long history of huge, big time, rock and roll bands. They are there to record an LP. It’s messy, disjointed and ridiculous (Rated R) – (2 Hours) – (2 Stars). … Next, Cyrano, played by Peter Dinklage. A dramatic musical romance with no comedy, this is the chick flick of chick flicks. Set in 1625, and that tells it all. Not my cup of tea, but very well done and women will love it, and should do big at the box office (PG-13) – (2 Hours) – (3 Stars).

Movie News: Matthew McConaughey, Channing Tatum, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Jason Momoa’s reps are all talking about another Magic Mike sequel. Question, do we need that? … Academy Award nominee director, James Mangold currently directing Indiana Jones 5, did 3:10 to Yuma and Walk The Line, has signed on to produce and direct the Disney biography of Buster Keaton, the greatest physical comedian of all time. No casting yet.

Odds and Ends: Britney posted her ex-managers Robin Greenhill and Lou Taylor tried to kill her! Prediction, Britney Spears tell all book will result in a lot of lawsuits against her! One more Britney nugget, she has put her 1000 Oaks home up for sale and is relocating to either Hawaii, Las Vegas or Palm Springs. This story will go on and on and on. … And speaking of going on and on, on April 29th Willie Nelson will turn 89 and he will release his 98th album! This ones called, A Beautiful Time. And it is.
