It’s Movie Review Friday and we are a week away from Wonder Woman 1984 release at theaters and available on HBO Max. It’s campy, over the top, cleaver and fun-filled. And Gal Gadot is fabulous as is Chris Pine. Thrilling, great special effects, charming and funny. Who could ask for more. (4 Stars). … Also a week away from Tom Hanks film, News of the World, but this in theaters only. What a great movie, soulful, emotional, seamless and in my opinion Hanks best part ever! Set in Texas after the Civil War, Hanks finds a young girl separated from her family and makes it his business to get her back home safely. While Indians, ex-confederates and others try to stop him. The Old west is beautiful and who knew Tom could ride a horse (4 Stars).
Now some movies streaming now.. On Hulu, Run, Sarah Paulson plays a teenager who’s mom isn’t exactly an Angel, she’s more a devil. A disturbing thriller (3 Stars). … HBO Max features The Bee Gees biopic that is fabulously entertaining (3 Stars). … Also on HBO Max the Meryl Streep movie Let Them All Talk, (3 Stars).
Another Music Note: Streaming services are fighting over the rights to the six episode documentary with Paul McCartney and producer Rick Rubin as they talk about the Beatles music and shares vintage film we’ve never seen exploring Paul’s future as well as the past.
Two more New York Post headlines this week. On Wednesday, more and more vaccine’s were being given out, and the Post headline screamed, “It’s The Gift Of Jab.” And with the investigation of Hunter Biden and millions of dollars unspoken for, the Post Headline Thursday screamed, “Hide and Reek.”
