Report for Friday, Dec 15th

Movie Reviews: Well the big splash will be Wonka, starring Timothee Chalamet and Hugh Grant and rightly so. This remake with some fascinating twist about the famous Willy Wonka and Oompa Loompas is great family fun for the holiday season. The film is funny, charming, it’s a treat. Leave logic, worries of the world and everything else outside and just go and enjoy (Rated PG) – (Under 2 Hours) – (3 Stars). … If you want more of a holiday feel, Christmas with The Chosen: Holy Night, is at selected theaters but just for a week! Another family film (3 Stars). … And I still love Renaissance: A Film by Beyonce that is playing everywhere.

TV News: I know I’ve mentioned it before, but if you haven’t seen the new Fargo on FX or Lawman: Bass Reeves on Paramount+, they are both great and deserve a check. … Speaking of TV, has any of your TV Networks been taken off the air do to financial battles with local providers and or cable outlets? There are dozens and dozens of cities and stations affected. For example, ABC in Dallas, CBS in Houston. Changes coming!

Concert News: How about Styx and Foreigner touring together next year, I’m excited! My favorite band has always been Queen, but as far as doing a live show, Styx was hard to beat. It was a shame that Dennis DeYoung and Tommy Shaw of Styx couldn’t get along, but I can’t wait for this show. F.Y.I. Tommy Shaw will be the front man when Styx takes the stage.

Shocking story of an old friend, Rodney Bingenheimer, who discovered a lot of new Girl Bands, did weekends on KROQ for decades, also known as the Mayor of Sunset Boulevard is being investigated for multiple sex crimes. And one of the accusers is a member of The Go-Go’s when she was a minor. Oh Rodney, say it’s not true!
