Love Nuggets: More dirt seeping out regarding the Kevin Costner divorce. His wife accuses Costner of hiding millions of dollars and other evidence from her and the judge.
Here’s an unusual love nugget. Adam Sandler sends flowers to Jennifer Aniston every Mother Day due to her fertility problems. Jennifer has undergone IFV treatments and has never had children.
3 Movie Reviews: All opening in wide release everywhere. First, The Hill. The true story about a religious Texas family in general and their son Ricky Hill in particular. Ricky is born with a serious degenerative spinal disease and can barely walk, but he loves hitting rocks with a stick and loves the game of baseball. As he gets older, Ricky played by Colin Ford starts hitting baseballs and dreams of someday playing the game despite his physical handicap. His preacher dad, played by Dennis Quaid is against his son’s dream, fearing life threatening injury. Deeply faith based, a true story, I don’t want to be a spoiler but there’s a happy ending. Ricky is now 67 years old and despite lots of surgeries, 9 screws and a 14 inch rod holding him together, Ricky threw out the first ball at a Texas Ranger game last week. (PG) – (2 Hours) – (3 Stars).
Next is Gran Turismo. Another true story, this one about Jann Mardenborough who played the video game as a kid and dreamed to grow up and to be a real race car driver. The film is entertaining but sometimes monotonous. It can be exciting but often drags. And, enlightening as far as the underbelly of auto racing, however it is also over acted. (PG13) – (2 Hours 15 Minutes) – (2.5 Stars).
Next, Retribution! It’s another been there, done that Liam Neeson movie about revenge and redemption, a time limit and saving his family. (R) – (90 Minutes) – (1.5 Stars).
Is it true, Madonna wants Britney Spears to join her on tour? If she does, no doubt they would share a kiss like they did 20 years ago at the MTV VMA’s.
