I am so busy, sometimes I miss a big mini-series and I missed Handmaid’s Tale! However, my wife Cheryl has insisted I watch it with her and we are on the second season. Before getting into the movie reviews, I am thrilled that Jason Momoa has signed to do a biopic of Duke Kahanamoku, the father of surfing, the man who popularized surfing, Hawaii’s greatest athlete, a 5 time Olympic medals in swimming, who competed in the Olympics in 1912, 1920, 1924 and 1932. And one of my life highlights I still remember, getting Duke Kahanamoku’s autograph as a kid. One of my true heroes.
Movie Reviews: Beast stars Idris Elba as Dr. Nate Daniels who is reunited with his two teenage daughters in Africa. But his research and reunion turns into a nightmare when a rouge lion is out to kill them, it’s terrifying and F.Y.I. the scenery is magnificent and worth the price of the ticket. Love this movie (Rated R) – (90 Minutes) – (3 Stars). … Next, Bodies Bodies Bodies, is an alarming scary satire and is the most unique movie you’ll see this year! When a bunch of rich yuppies get stuck in a mansion, they play a game that turns into a deadly who-done it! Murder and laughs and even Pete Davidson is good in this (Rated a hard R) – (90 Minutes) – (3 Stars) a real gem.
TV News: Speaking of Pete Davidson, he’s been cut out of most of the new Keeping Up With the Kardashians. … And Gwyneth Paltrow will be on a half dozen Shark Tank’s. Interesting, Gwyneth is worth $70 million but Mark Cuban is worth 4.7 billion. … And TV reminder, the Little League World Series is wrapping up.
You want to know how screwed up this country is, they are now making kids backpacks that are bullet proof and teaching kids how to hold up the backpacks for protection.
