Rare Monday Movie Review: Tom Cruise’s 6th Mission Impossible is a big winner, the best of the franchise by far. Best action I’ve ever seen and Cruise took a year just off to attend Stunt School and it paid off. Incredible stunts, and Tom has several broken bones to prove it, it’s a wonder he wasn’t killed! The Planet is in jeopardy from the incredible opening sequence. Not always easy to follow but it all comes together. Paris, London, New Zealand, Norway are all beautiful. From the chases, fights, the effects to the aerials. This could be the best movie of the year. (Rated PG-13) – (2 Hours) – (4 Stars).

Answer – Dick Clark. And a personal follow-up, when I worked for the N.Y. Post, I was assigned to spend 18 hours with Dick Clark. Went to his house at 5 a.m., his wife Kari made us breakfast and hit the road at 7 a.m., as he was producing his American Music Awards that nite at the Santa Monica Civic. Fascinating 18 hours, from rehearsals to host Glen Campbell being sick that night, to Dick getting into a screaming match with John Denver over a private plane. Memorable, great night.
