Personal Comment: I quit High School when I was 16 and we had just moved from Hawaii to Los Angeles. I got a job as a flunky working the switchboard and emptying the trash at radio station, KRLA. The mid-day jock was Casey Kasem. The afternoon disc-jockey was Bob Eubanks who later hosted The Newlywed TV Show. While working the switchboard I got to know one particular record guy who would bring in his 17 year old girlfriend/house keeper. We became friends. Shortly after, I used the switchboard to book him and his girlfriend at half time of H.S. basketball games. They wanted to be singers. They were called Ceasar and Cleo. A few weeks later they changed to their real names, Sonny and Cher. We were very close! I was with Sonny in his garage when he wrote I Got You Babe, Just You and Laugh at Me. Booked them all over Souther California. I bring all this up because Cher is spewing Sonny threatened to kill her. I moved on in a couple years. But Sonny was the greatest guy ever. Cher, not so much. Just my opinion. I don’t know what happened after I left but some people will say anything to sell a book! Hey Cher, let Sonny rest in peace.
TV News: Told you the new mini-series, Land Man on Paramount+ was great. And now one of the stars, Billy Bob Thornton predicts it will he a hit and last 5 years!
Movie News: I will review two movies tomorrow, Wicked and Gladiator 2. Believe me, you won’t want to miss these two reviews! … Are you ready, does anybody care about a Boyz II Men documentary? Well, it’s coming. Just thought you should know, and there you go.
