Sports Shorts: I have covered a lot of Super Bowls and there have been some great Halftime entertainment like The Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson, Prince, Jennifer Lopez, Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga and many others. And while I plan on covering the next Super Bowl coming February 9th in New Orleans, not too excited about the halftime entertainment. Now, I understand it’s the french quarter. I do not understand Kendrick Lamar, Lauren Daigle, Trombone Shorty and Ledisi have been picked as Super Bowl entertainment! Really, Let’s see, The Rolling Stone or Trombone Shorty. I can say no more.

I’ve been privileged to cover some huge trials, O.J. Simpson, Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVay, Michael Jackson’s trial and others. However I could not get a credential for the former marine Daniel Penny’s manslaughter trial. Penny held a madman down who got on a New York City subway screaming he was going to kill some of the riders. Penny jumped on him, held him down and the guy died as he held him down, some say only because of Penny’s choke hold. I am hoping and expect a verdict today. Heaven help us if Penny is found guilty! In my opinion, he is a hero.
As I get ready to cover the Inauguration next month, I’ve been talking to some of my political buddies who know a lot more than me. From those who know, I’m hearing that Elon Musk is a really great guy, and a really big geekapodamus!
