The Next Phase

  • Report for Tuesday, Mar 4th

As predicted here, the big winner at the Oscars was Anora, a little independent film that nobody cared about and nobody has seen. Again, who cares about the Oscars anymore? Here is the proof, the top winning movies and how many Oscars they won Sunday night : Anora – 5, The Brutalist – 3, Dune: Part Two – 2, Wicked – 2, Conclave – 1, Flow – 1, I’m Not a Robot – 1, I’m Still Here – 1, No Other Land – 1, In the Shadow of the Cypress – 1, The Only Girl in the Orchestra – 1, A Real Pain – 1, and The Substance – 1.

Question, be honest, how many of those movies have you seen? One more Oscars Nugget, Demi Moore was a heavy favorite to win Best Actress for her role in The Substance. For the record, she was fabulous, in fact Demi won the Golden Globe Best Actress for The Substance. Everybody said she would win the Oscar hands down, but she lost. And one more thing, during the memoriam they forgot singer, dancer and actress Mitzi Gaynor, Linda Lavin who starred in Alice’s Restaurant and many movies and TV shows,  Olivia Hussey who starred as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet just to name one of her hit movies and Shannon Doherty who starred in 90210 and many many other movies all died last year but were ignored or they just forgot. Folks, the Academy Awards really suck! Stick a fork in them, they’re done.

Movie News: Scoop, everybody is talking about the movie, Heart of the Beast.

Me and Pete Rose!
