Okay, so I am going off the normal Hooray for Hollywood bull shoy to tell it like it is, I mean we’ve been together long enough that I can be really honest with you! For the last 20 years the Oscar’s have gotten more and more political and care less and less than general movie goers! It’s all sheep dip! I haven’t attended the Oscars in years and have no intention to ever go again. Most of these over paid, over pampered, ego maniacs are so full of themselves, it’s a joke. Example, hardly anybody has seen any of the Best Picture nominations. In fact, I am sending your report before the Oscars have even started, and wouldn’t be surprised if Anora wins best picture of the year. A picture that nobody cares about, nobody has seen and has brought in only $14 million at the box office! But Hollywood knows better than the general public. I have dealt with Hollywood for 50 years and like most things in the world, things change, and not for the better, especially when it comes to the Oscars, they are a perfect example. So why watch this stupid show? I could be wrong about Anora winning, but I wouldn’t be surprised! However, I will watch just to see Morgan Freeman give a tribute to buddy Gene Hackman. But that’s old Hollywood. We’ll see if I’m right about Anora, the movie nobody has seen or cares about. I used to love the Oscars, looked forward to going every year, but now they suck.
I’ll tell you what I’m really excited about, word there is a very good chance that Pete Rose will be allowed into the Baseball Hall of Fame! Yeah, he’s dead, but I say better later rather than never. Pete Rose was a buddy of mine when I traveled with the Dodgers and I have a picture of Pete and me from the good old days on my website! And for the record remember, although still wrong, Pete only bet on his own team.
