Oscar Pop Quiz – Name the name of the star who received the longest standing ovation in Oscar history. Was it Clark Gable, Jimmy Stewart, Marilyn Monroe or Charley Chaplin?

Here’s the scoop on the Red Carpet, Ellen, the Show, the Awards and Post Parties.

On the Red Carpet – The best included Amy Adams, Lupita Nyong’o, Cate Blanchett, and Sandra Bullock! Jennifer Lawrence proved you can take the girl out of Kentucky but you can’t take the Kentucky out of the girl. She fell down at last year’s Oscars, tripped at the Golden Globes and fell down last night on the Red Carpet. Ryan Seacrest, Jared Leto, and Matthew McConaughey all looked great in white, and for the 5th year in a row, Kelly Osbourne had the worse hair.

Ellen DeGeneres was hilarious without being over the top, the show was a B+. I had 5 of the 6 winners of my pick 6 – only missed supporting actress. It was a huge night for Gravity with 7 wins and I’m so happy 12 Years A Slave won the big one.

Some parties are still going on like Madonna’s party who’s guests included Sandra Bullock, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad and Angelina and the music was provided by Bono. Elton John performed at his own party for Aids research and his guests included, Cher, Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and Amy Adams. Another great charity party was the Children Uniting Nations. Prince provided the entertainment and Charlize Theron and Sean Penn were there. The biggest party was the Governor’s Ball where the engraving station is where winners have a glass of champagne while their name is engraved into their statue. It was great night!

Answer – After being banned from the U.S. and accused of being a Communist, in 1972, Charley Chaplain was allowed in, given a lifetime Oscar and received a 12 minute standing ovation.
