TV Review: Sunday Night on HBO, Al Pacino stars in Phil Spector, also starring Helen Mirren as his attorney. The biggest disappointment is that the film doesn’t get into his early history as a musical genus and nut, but he’s a pathetic nut enough when he meets and kills Lana Clarkson. Not completely factual but entertaining.(3 Stars)
Turns out there is no lockdown rehab in New York as lindsay’s lying, incompatant lawyer told the judge. The plea agreed to 90 days custody, but with no NY lockdown rehab, thers’s a good chance Lindsay will have to do 90 days in jail.
TV News: Della Reese is making a surprise appearance in, The Bible. … To me, what’s worse than Leno leaving the Tonight Show is that the Tonight Show is leaving Los Angeles after 50 years and going back to New York.
My final 4 are Syracuse, Kansas, Louisville and Ohio State, and my pick for the winner is Ohio State University.
David O. Russel was the great Director of Silver Linings Playbook, and his next movie is a period piece, based on the true story of ABSCAM, which lead to some Congressmen to jail. Stars Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Christian Bale, Amy Adams and my homeboy Gary Craig who is my 16 year Hartford affiliate, at WTIC!
