Here’s some inside scoop on American Idol. Although I am not a Nicki Minaj fan, she is the best addition to the panel. Funny, interesting and very entertaining. Mariah Carey acts like an old school marm, that goes into too much detail when instructing the contestants. Keith Urban is solid, down home advice, and pleasant. Randy Jackson is the same old, same old and believe me, it’s getting old. Seacrest almost seems bored. There’s a lot great story lines, like the stutterer that sings like an angel, and then there’s the Asian rapper that is so incredibly hideous he makes William Hung sound like Carrie Underwood. Honestly, I’m a little tired of Idol, but the new judges alone make this worth watching.
TV News: So Justin Bieber is going to host Saturday Night Live on February 9th, but the inside scoop is Justin wanted to appear on the Grammy’s on Feb 10th but producers didn’t really have much interest in Bieber, so to save face Justin took the SNL gig. … Jimmy Kimmel beat David Letterman and Jay Leno in the ratings first night. … First Super Bowl advertisement was bought to promote the movie Star Trek Into Darkness.
Love Nuggets: It is true that Harry Styles pulled the plug on his and Taylor Swift’s romance! Harry is telling friends that Taylor was a control freak, she even went through his cell phone, a total snoop. Harry says Taylor smothered him.
