Let’s talk Emmy’s, the only people and shows that will get my vote are, Killing Eve for Best Drama Series and Sandra Oh and Jody Comer in that both deserve an Emmy, Jason Bateman for best actor in a Drama Series for Ozark. Best Actress in Comedy should go to Christina Applegate in Dead To Me was the best. As for competition shows, a no brainer, Amazing Race should win. … Huge deal for Bruce Springsteen who was nominated for his Netflix special, Springsteen on Broadway. If he wins he’ll secure himself the rare, E.G.O.T. For those who son’t know, that’s the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award.
TV News: Big Brother is back and in the first 3 weeks it has averaged #8, #5 and #4 in the Neilson ratings. Interesting side bar, Julie Chen Moonves is in her final year as host, and since her hubby, former CBS President, was fired for sexual assault accusations, there’s rumor Julie will be fired after this season, or she will quit. My sources say neither, she’ll be back. … Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedian in Cars Getting Coffee has been renewed new show of new season Friday.
Odds and Ends: Great quote from Meryl Streep says her 21 Oscar nominations and 3 wins, 18 Golden Globes, are nothing compared to her greatest thrill.
