I know it’s Thursday, but here is an early Movie Review. Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Liam Neeson and Emma Thompson are all great in the latest Men in Black franchise, but still short of the original. This film has energy, creativity, surprises but there are some moments that drag. This episode is set in Paris, London, Italy and mid-east deserts, and not in New York. Effects are solid and it was funny enough for me. Noticed Rotten Tomatoes panned it, not me. (PG-13) – (115 Minutes) – (3 Stars).
TV News: Are there no new ideas in Hollywood? ABC is talking about rebooting Charlie’s Angels. Some of the names currently being considered, Miley Cyrus, Dakota Fanning , Ariana Grande and Kendall Jenner. Farrah Fawcett has to be turning over in her grave. … Serious talks tomorrow about a West Wing reboot, and that Rob Lowe could be the new President. Aaron Sorkin will make the final decision. Ticket sales for Coachella 2020 go on sale tomorrow and it’s being called the 20th Anniversary, although it’s really #21. But scoop is Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger and Elton John could perform. $400 for 3 day General admission.
Music Notes: Monday, I told you on Friday new albums will be released by Madonna and Bruce Springsteen, and that Madonna was predicting more sales than the Boss. Update per-sales on Amazon have the Boss #1, Madonna #107. … And don’t miss Martin Scorsese’s bio-docudrama called, Rolling Thunder Revue, starring the star Bob Dylan, on Netflix.
