Movie Review: Ma, stars Academy award winner, Octavia Spencer as a sweet loner who befriends local teenagers, buying them booze and allowing them to party at her pad. But as the film plays out, turns out that Ma is an evil, crazy, deranged monster! And the teens will pay a heavy price for their trust, being tortured from their mouths sewed shut to getting murdered. A little overkill but not bad. (Rated R) – (99 Minutes) – (2 Stars).
Next is Godzilla: King of the Monsters, it should be called, Godzilla: King of Disaster. Seventeen monsters show up and while the planet doesn’t know what to do, here comes Godzilla to save the world. Oh please, this movie is ridiculous! There are so many great movies playing like Rocketman, this one you should avoid. (Rated PG-13) – (111 Minutes) – (1 Star).
Sports Shorts: Tiger Woods is playing in the Memorial this weekend on national TV. … Don’t look for any NBA free agents to sign with the Lakers. Jeanie Buss, the owner is clueless, Magic Johnson has walked away calling the Lakers a disaster. LeBron James is an ego maniac who says my way or the highway. The GM is known as a cheap tyrant and they have a new coach. You don’t win Championships with a hand like that, you fold.
