Report for Monday, Apr 15th

Back by popular demand as this week’s Pop Quiz theme, back to knowing America. Here are the four cities with the worst traffic, and for the first time Los Angeles is not in the top four. Is it Chicago, Washington D.C., Boston or New York?

Tiger Woods winning yesterday will probably be the biggest sports story of the year, which brings me to my favorite Tiger story. On a Tuesday, before a skin game in P.S. with Tiger, Fred Funk, Annika Sorenstam and Fred Couples, I got to the press room early and getting a water in front of me was Tiger. I told Tiger the first I ever saw him play was at Long Beach Rec. when he was about 13 years old. Tiger looked at me thought for a second and said, “Long Beach Rec, first hole, driving range along left side, I used to pull that ball into the range.” I was shocked and asked him, “When was the last time you played there?” Tiger said, “When I was 13, but I remember every shot I’ve every made.” And that’s what makes Tiger, Tiger.

Weekend Love Updates: Since the Rolling Stones tour is delayed because of Mick Jagger’s heart issue, 71 year old guitarist Ronnie Wood spent the weekend with his 1-year old twins. Saturday, they went to the movies and saw Missing Link. Sunday an early Easter Egg hunt. Poor Ronnie must have been tired after chasing 1-year old’s. And yes, he changes diapers. … Love this, Billy Crystal got his hand and footprints set in the patio cement of the Grauman’s Chinese Theater, which is a much bigger deal than a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Since it is April 15th, one of my favorite quotes. From my long, long time accountant and friend Carol Baptista, on Waimanu Street in Kaka’ako. “Tax me no questions and I’ll tax you no lies.”

Answer – #4 New York, #3 Chicago, #2 Washington D.C., and #1 worst traffic is in Boston.
