Wednesday Profile: Things you didn’t know about Tommy Mapother. You know him better now as Tom Cruise. From age 8 to 14, Tom went to a Seminary school and wanted to be a Priest. Tom dated a lot of women, been married three times but says besides Katie Holmes, the two other women he loved most were, Cher who dumped him after a short relationship and Penelope Cruz, who couldn’t wait to dump him after they finished shooting Vanilla Sky, which, by the way he calls his favorite movie. Sean Penn is Tom’s best friend. He flies stunt planes for a hobby. Tom Cruise became a Scientologist after he said it cured him of dyslexia. And Tom has worked with the greatest directors in Hollywood including Stanley Kubrick, Martin Scorsese, Brian DePalma, Francis Ford Coppola, Oliver Stone, Steven Spielberg, Michael Mann, Robert Rob Reiner, Ridley Scott, Robert Redford and Cameron Crowe. Odds and Ends: Snoop Dogg has agreed to perform at the Illinois State fair but insists on a couple conditions.
