This weeks Pop Quiz theme, all names are starring in a movie currently playing, but only one is the answer. Name the star who’s favorite movie of all times is Taxi Driver, seen it 100 times. Is it Michael Moore, Matthew McConaughey, Rainn Wilson or Danny DeVito.
Movie Review Friday: Opening today, the latest A Star Is Born. Much better than the Kris Kristofferson/Barbra Streisand film, this time with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. However, it’s my old buddy, Sam Elliott who plays Cooper’s dad, that will definitely get an Oscar nom. Cooper plays a big star on the end of his career who sees Gaga singing at a dumpy bar, takes a liking to her and her talent and wants to make her a star, and that’s what he does as her career takes off. Great acting, fabulous soundtrack, Dave Chappelle and Andrew Dice Clay are also excellent. (Rated R) – (120 Minutes) – (3 Stars).
Next is Venom, I like Tom Hardy, I love Michelle Williams, but this movie is straight out strange. A horror movie that is more funny than scary, and not really all that funny. Gross to the point of pointless, goofy, while it is entertaining, it’s not compelling. Just don’t know what to say. (PG-130 – (112 Minutes) – (2 Stars) you may love it, you may hate it.
Is it me or is watching the Senate hearings like watching Jerry Springer? And I want to take this opportunity to apologize to Jerry Springer. … Harvey Levin, who calls himself a journalist, was interviewing Kanye West for a TV special and told Kanye to take off his M.A.G.A. hat. Kanye refused noting it’s a free country. How can Levin call himself a journalist, asking an interview to take off a hat he doesn’t politically agree with. What a hack.
This week, texting for seniors. Today, it’s BYOT, which for seniors means, Bring Your Own Teeth.
