Movie Reviews: Opening today, Patriots Day. The Bio-docuDrama about the Boston Marathon Bombing with Mark Wahlberg as Sgt. Sanders, and John Goodman as Police Chief, Ed Davis. This is a gut wrenching fabulous film and holds your attention and jumps on it (Rated R) – (130 Minutes) – (3 ½ Stars). … The other film is Silence, the Martin Scorsese film he’s been working on for 25 years and maybe should have worked on it a little more. It’s the story of two priest who travel to Japan looking for their mentor in the 17th century. Starring, Adam Driver, Andrew Garfield and Liam Neeson. Acting is good, but film tends to be slow, dull and too violent. With that said, it has an epic feel and will still recommend it. (Rated R) – (Almost 3 Hours) – (2 Stars).

Sports Shorts: With all the great NFL Play-off games this weekend, comment, I’m glad ESPN has kicked Chris Berman to the curb. Never cared for him, to me, just a shameless Howard Cosell, obnoxious, loud voice ripoff but never funny. Falcons, Patriots, Chiefs and how about those Cowboys!
Now it can be told. Insiders, staff and crew who worked the New Year Eve show say that Mariah Carey was a jerk leading up to the debacle that never happened. She wouldn’t rehearse, wouldn’t talk to anybody other than ordering people around and demanding people not look at her! They cheered when she flopped.
