Hard to believe it’s been 10 years since we last saw Calvin at the Shop, but this sequel is fresh, funny, well acted, and entertaining. (Rated PG13) – (Under 2 Hours) – (3 Stars). Opening in Limited release but coming your way soon, Sing Street, the touching story of adolescent love and teenage dreams, it’s hilarious and a great sound track. Set in the 80’s in Ireland. (Rated PG13) – (Under 2 Hours) – (3 ½ Stars). The bad news, opening today, Criminal, with Kevin Costner, Tommy Lee Jones and Ryan Reynolds, it’s bad in so many ways. (1 ½ Stars).
Liza Minnelli’s former husband, David Guest who was also Michael Jackson’s best friend will be laid to rest today. David died alone in a hotel room, just like Whitney Houston, John Belushi, David Carradine, Anna Nicole Smith, John Candy, and my old buddy, former LA Dodger pitcher Don Drysdale.
