Super Bowl question – The ratings of the last 3 Super Bowls have been are 45, 46 and 47. What is the lowest ever Super Bowl TV Rating? Is it 18, 28 or a 38 rating?
Super Bowl stuff – What a stupid idea to put the Super Bowl in New York. Disaster!! Luckily, 99.99% of the Super Bowl is a television event MUCH MORE than a live event! Where do I start? There are 17,000 unsold tickets, hotels are half empty, and pre-Super Bowl events are deserted. I don’t think it’s the weather, I think it’s NY!! Without a NY team involved they consider this an inconvenience. In fact, 72% of New Yorkers say they wouldn’t go to the game if you gave them a ticket! Another problem – half the events are in New Jersey and half are in the city. So, get ready for an $80 cab ride and 2 hours in traffic in a stinky cab. What a bust! Let’s not forget…IT IS FREEZING!!! Prediction – this will be the last Super Bowl EVER played in NYC, we can ONLY hope. I will go next year where it’s warm, lots of golf, tennis, and sun in beautiful – Phoenix.
Other Super Bowl stuff – Melissa McCarthy will host Super Bowl SNL and there will be some big surprise guests. TV commercials I’ve seen so far have been weak, including Michael J Fox Diet Pepsi spot and Arnold Schwarzennegar’s Bud Light spot is lame, sad and dumb.
More celebrity predictions – Marc Cuban – Denver by 3, Jay Z – Seattle by 3, Trey Parker of South Park – Denver by 7, Drew Carey – Seattle by 6, Dog the Bounty Hunter – Denver by 10, and The Office’s Rainn Wilson – Seattle by 10.
Answer – Super Bowl 2, Green Bay 33 and Oakland 14 in Miami – pulled an 18.3 TV Rating.
