Report for Friday, Sept 6th

It’s an Aloha Friday, Movie Review Friday, a Finally a Friday, and Football Kickoff Friday. Translation, a very different report.

Let’s get the movie news out of the way. The biggie is Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and it does not disappoint! With Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Jenna Ortega, Danny DeVito, William Dafoe, Justin Theroux and others. Sidebar, the writer of the script is Seth Graham Smith who says he’s been working on it for 12 years (3 Stars).

Last night the Kansas City kicked off the NFL season and every year I predict the Conference, Division winners, and usually do pretty good. And here are this years predictions.

NFC East – Dallas Cowboys will barely beat out the Philadelphia Eagles.

NFC North – Tough race between Detroit, Green Bay and the surprising Bears. However I’m not sold on Detroit, I think Green Bay wins this division.

NFC South – Hate the Atlanta Falcons but they should cruise, but hope for Tampa Bay.

NFC West – 49ers edge out the Rams.

AFC East – Miami dominates, but Aaron Rodgers and Jets have a great year.

AFC North – I think Cincinnati beats out Baltimore. Cleveland will be strong.

AFC South – Houston dominates and rest of division will have losing records.

AFC West – Kansas City will repeat, however Denver with new quarterback Bo Nix will have the most surprising season.

College football is in full play this weekend, and the Top 5 games I’ll be watching are #3 Texas at #10 Michigan, #14 Tennessee at #24 North Carolina State, and Michigan State at Maryland,  Arkansas at Oklahoma State and Iowa at Iowa State.

The baseball season is winding down and some great races, Baltimores a half game ahead of the Yankees. And the Dodgers only 4 and a half games ahead of San Diego, and 5 games ahead of Arizona
