Report for Friday, Aug 30th

It’s an Aloha Friday, Movie Review Friday, a Finally a Friday, and a holiday weekend Friday!

Today it’s four movie reviews, a hard hit and run report!

The most controversial movie is, Reagan. Look, while I know a lot of people will get all caught up on Reagan’s politics. I even believe some liberal critics may not even see it, or give it a bad review. For me, I love documentaries, I gave thumbs up to Washington, The Chosen, I even gave thumbs up to Rise of Hitler! It’s because I love learning the inside story of historical people. Movie starts with his childhood and follows him to the end. Nothing surprising, it’s interesting but not compelling. If you like presidential history, you’ll like Reagan. Dennis Quaid is solid (Rated PG-13) – (125 Minutes) – (3 Stars).

The second movie is, 1992. This movie was suppose to be released two years ago, and is loosely based on the riots in Los Angeles a year after the Rodney King riots. The true story of the LAPD and it’s citizens. It’s about honesty, confusion, trust and heart break! Starring Tyrese Gibson, Ray Liotta and Scott Eastwood who is Clint’s son and are all fabulous. This movie shows the mistrust of the LAPD, which I truly believe was deserved back then and eventually resulted in the not guilty verdict in the O.J. Simpson trial two years later! Produced by Snoop Dogg, in limited release (Rated R) – (2 Hours) – (3 Stars).

Next the true story, You Gotta Believe.  About a Little League manager who’s very sick, life and death, underdogs and heroes, you’ll laugh and cry (Rated PG) – (90 Minutes) – (4 Stars).

And finally, Afraid. And note the fourth and fifth letter of this title are AI, and this movie shows how AI can take over your life in a very bad way. Terrorizing and way too real (PG-13) – (2 Hours) – (3 Stars).
