They talk by phone a couple times a week, been friends since childhood and now they are embarking on a huge, new phase of life! I’m talking about Suri Cruise, daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, and Violet Affleck daughter of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner. The two girls are both headed to college for the freshman year! Suri to Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh, where she will double major in Computer Science and Theater. Violet to Yale and will double major in Biological History and Social Sciences.
Show Biz Business: By this time next year both Warner Brothers and Universal studios will have trimmed their total work force by 15%. Sony and Paramount aren’t far behind. And within two years ABC, CBS and NBC will be gone. ABC folded into Disney+. CBS into Paramount+ and NBC into Peacock. The times they are a changing. As for now, the Little League World Series is still on ESPN and ABC, and my Hawaii team is still there!
Although you’ve seen it, it’s worth a second look, a blast from the past, that I guarantee will make you laugh out loud, Curb your Enthusiasm with Larry David! All seasons streaming. My wife says my life is like Larry when it comes to real life and stupid predicaments, unfortunately I can see that on some episodes!
Everyday this week, I am going to give you two or three of the best movies by category all made, according to the Hollywood Reporter, during the Golden Age of Movies, which was the 1970’s. All these movies are streaming! Today’s categories, Best Westerns and Best Sports movies. First Best Westerns, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and The Outlaw Josey Wells. Best Sports movies, Raging Bull, Rocky, Breaking Away, and I suggest Fast Break starring Gabe Kaplan and me!
