With the Paris Olympics over, the TV ratings started slow and grew to one of the most watched Olympics in decades. In fact the average viewership night to night was 76% higher than the Tokyo Games. It was a combination of things, certainly Simone Biles, and the American athletes, but also people are tired of all the politics, republicans and democrats, it was a perfect distraction! And people loved Snoop Dogg! The Olympics move to Los Angeles in 2028 and after covering the 1984 games in L.A. I can’t wait!
First L.A. Olympic News: Goofy Los Angeles Mayor Karen says she plans to shut down Freeways and streets and add 5,000 busses for people to use who are going to the games! Hello, the one thing about the 1984 L.A. Games, there was zero traffic problems! People just avoided driving during the games. Come 2028, great venues, the beach volleyball will be held in Santa Monica where beach volleyball was invented. The Lakers home, Staples Center will host gymnastics and other events. Track and Field will be held at the Coliseum, where the Olympics were held in 1932 and 1984, and holds 101,000 people! The Los Angeles Rams and Chargers home stadium, So-Fi will host opening ceremonies and a lot of other events. Speaking of So-Fi Stadium, it cost $5.5 billion to build, and besides football, the venue planned to host hundreds of concerts to pay it off, but because of neighbor complaints of noise, no concerts will be allowed there anymore! That will cause hundred of millions of dollars of lost revenue! Didn’t anybody think about the concert noise problem? As my old buddy Howard Cosell would say, “Who goofed, I’ve got to know!” Who ever it was, bet they got fired. Oh yeah, what to do with the 42,000 homeless that live near the L.A. venues.
