Movie Review: It was back in 1996, Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton starred in the original, Twister, that was originally panned. Back then Rotten Tomatoes gave the original Twister a lukewarm, 66%. But the public loved it. It cost $92 million to make and made $494 million. And opening today the new, improved, Twisters! This sequel cost $200 million to make and will blow away the $494 million the original made. While there are no members of the original cast in the new movie, Bill Paxton’s son James has a small part. The entire movie was filmed in Oklahoma just like the original! Now the review. The effects are fabulous, there are surprises you won’t see coming and you’ll be on the edge of your seat. However, the plot and acting is not great, but that doesn’t make this movie any less spectacular (PG-13) – (117 Minutes) – (3 Stars).
