Report for Friday, July 12th

Movie Review Friday: Opening in limited release is Fly Me to the Moon, which is described as a romance/drama/comedy/history movie. Say what? It’s stars Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum. Set in 1969, around the historical first man to the moon. While NASA is getting ready for the Moon Shot, The White House is worried it may be a disaster, so they plan to shoot a phony TV moon walk. Putting that together is Scarlett and Channing’s characters and naturally they fall in love. This movie is kind of corny, but very entertaining (Rated PG-13) – (2 Hours) – (2.5 Stars).

A lot of solid films still playing now, including three kids movies, Garfield, Inside Out 2, and Despicable Me 4. And my favorite, Sound of Hope. But more exciting are the upcoming films, Twisters which opens next week, and Deadpool and Wolverine which opens the following week.

In 25 years of doing this, I never thought I’d say, I have two sperm stories for you! Jennifer Aniston, Kim Kardashian and other celebrities are rubbing salmon sperm all over their face saying it refreshes their skin and keeps them young. My question, who originally came up with, hey, let’s put salmon sperm on our face?

If that doesn’t make you sick, this will. Oscar winning composer Danny Elfman, who I first met in the early 80’s when he was with Oingo Boingo, is being sued for the second time by composer Nomi Abadi. The first time Danny was sued he failed to pay her $850,000 he agreed to pay for exposing himself and masturbating multiple times in front of her without her consent, oh and Danny serving her a martini glass of sperm! This second suit is for defamation! Danny has always been odd duck, but is still married to Bridget Fonda.
