Report for Thursday, Feb 29th

We start with a really sad story. In my many years doing this, I have covered only a few people that I would call truly great human beings. Right at the top is Gary Sinise, best known for playing Lt. Dan in Forrest Gump. But Gary is so much more. For decades Gary has been turning down countless Hollywood opportunities, instead devoting all his time to help under privileged children, help the homeless, and helping generate funds for wounded military. Back in August 2018, Gary’s son Mac was diagnosed with a very rare cancer that strikes only 300 people a year. Yesterday, Gary announced that Mac had passed away. Mac was only 33 years old. Gary a great father and great humanitarian. A rarity in Hollywood, believe me. God bless Gary Sinise.
