If you didn’t see the 90th Birthday Celebration of Willie Nelson last week on CBS, it was fabulous! And a sidebar, Willie’s closest friends are Woody Harrelson, Kieth Richards and Snoop Dogg. And they all performed, talked about how close they are to Willie and on and on! Other than smoking a lot pot I really don’t know what these four dudes have in common. For the record, 90 year old Willie Nelson can still sing, and he did some incredible guitar riffs. 90 years old and still tracking! … I’ve waited a few days, hoping it was a joke, but it was no joke, it’s true. Curb Your Enthusiasm is ending after their 12th season on HBO. It started with eight straight seasons, then a six years hiatus, then a three season revival, but Larry David has made it official, it’s over. Too bad, a really great show.
Another Birthday Nugget, Katie Holmes turned 45 this week and she looks great, and says she’s never felt better. And her 17 year old daughter, Suri has never looked cuter. Suri is a great singer, taking acting lessons, will finish high school in June and already plans to start college next September. She’s looking at USC, Fordham, Stanford and NYU! Amazing, Katie’s ex and Suri’s daddy, Tom Cruise still only communicate via lawyers! Tom hasn’t seen his daughter in 12 years, because, she is not a Scientologist! How sad! There’s a Merry Christmas for ya. … More Tom Cruise, he has become very reclusive. He seldom goes out to eat, and when he does, he will reserve the entire restaurant, even if he has invited a couple pals.
Odds and Ends: I’ve been telling you that Celine Dion has called off her Residency in Las Vegas because she suffers from that rare, Stiff-Person Syndrome. And now hearing it is more serious than we’ve been told. Keep Celine in your prayers.
