In case you missed it, weekend box office, Taylor Swift’s movie did a whopping $31 million and Killer of the Flower Moon, $23 million. Taylor’s movie has now topped $130 million and her record sales have hit the roof, with 23 singles on the iTunes Top 100 and 15 albums. Unbelievable.
Follow-up: The Hollywood Reporter calls Martin Scorsese’s Flower Moon, Martin’s 10th best movie. This is how great Martin is, they rank his Top 5 #5 Casino from 1995, #4 Wolf of Wall Street 2013, #3 Raging Bull from 1980, #2 Departed from 2006 and #1 Good Fellas from 1990. Do you have a favorite out of these?
Odds and Ends: Ever see U2? Well you can in December at the Las Vegas $2 billion Sphere Theater where they have extended the 12 concert dates to 25 dates. They are great, must see. … A lot of people talking about Jennifer Aniston’s latest nip/tuck face lift, and it’s not good. … There’s some buzz that when the Studios and SAG/AFTRA meet Tuesday, there could be a settlement. More buzz if not, it won’t happen till next year.
Cher News: When I was 17, I worked for Sonny and Cher when they first got started. Driving them to Bob Eubanks’ Reveler Teen club in Redondo Beach, The Sugar Shack Teen club in Hermosa Beach, The Grand Teen Club in Torrance and other places. Sonny and I remained close till his death in 1998. Cher, not so much, but have always watched her career. And another weird Cher story. Cher swears she did not have four thugs forcibly kidnap her son Elijah to secretly take him to a drug intervention. However, there are some authorities who want to investigate. Prediction, nothing will happen. And mark my words, Cher Christmas single, Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) with Darlene Love is going to be a super smash.
