Let’s get to the big news. Yesterday I said Justin Timberlake was shaking in his boots in fear of what Britney Spears was going to say about him in her upcoming book. Several hours later after our broadcast, the story broke that Justin had knocked up Britney! And while Britney was thrilled about having a baby, Justin wanted no part of it. And through his convincing, they had an abortion. And there’s more to come in that book! … Next, back in July when New Mexico authorities said they were not going to press involuntary manslaughter charges against Alec Baldwin, but I said, hold on, that will change! Yesterday morning, N.M authorities announced they will charge Alec with involuntary manslaughter, he could get 18 months, I predict he’ll get 6 months. … On a positive note, When asked the best thing she’s ever done, Jennifer Lopez said it was being a mother and truth is, she is a great Mom. I love that story. Good on J-Lo.
Odds and Ends: Disney is 100 years old and while I haven’t been very happy with the way Disney has raised prices to their parks around the world, they have changed the world of entertainment like no other. And here are five particular categories that prove it. #1 Animation, #2 Merchandising, #3 Family entertainment, #4 Building Super Heroes and Blockbuster, #5 Synergy from characters to films, toys, clothes and a lot more. So the world is a much happier place because of Disney and for that Happy Birthday.
TV News: When it comes to making documentaries, in my opinion, Ken Burns is the best of the best, the greatest! He made Baseball, The West, Lewis and Clark, Jazz, The War, Prohibition, The National Parks, The Dust Bowl, Jackie Robinson and, The Mayo Clinic, and I could go on and on. Ken has made over 20 documentaries over the past 30 years about America and some of the most famous Americans in history. And on PBS now, Ken Burns has released a new documentary The American Buffalo! It’s sad but it is a must see.
