Report for Tuesday, Sept 26th

Love Nugget: Some Hollywood nay-sayers are saying, maybe Taylor is just playing Travis, that she’ll date him a couple months, then break up, make an album about their relationship that will by far outsell everything she’s ever done. Just saying. … People say, Russell Brand is a wacko! And now a true story to prove it. Brand admits, years ago he befriended a heroin addict he didn’t know by offering him 50 bucks to sleep with his prostitute girlfriend. Comment, no comment. More Brand, Kathy Griffen calls him a sleazebag and while she never, personally had a run in with him, she’s heard stories from friends. Including a story about a friend who was attending an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting where Brand was speaking and afterwords he cornered Kathy’s friend and force ably sexually miss-behaved. Sleazebag!

Rare Politics Notes: Write down November 30th when Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will debate California Governor Gavin Newsom. It’ll be on Fox News. That should be interesting. … And Eric Clapton will be traveling and performing at Robert F. Kennedy Jr. events from now to election.

Music Notes: Not only will The Rolling Stones be releasing their first LP in 18 years, they will also be releasing a documentary that follows them making the LP. … People are worried about Bruce Springsteen who has canceled his up coming tour due to a peptic ulcer disease. All dates are being rescheduled for 2024. While on the subject of Bruce Springsteen, have you ever seen him in concert?

More Music: Usher is the Super Bowl Half Time entertainment, brings me to favorite Usher story. At 9 P.M. on a Fourth of July, Cheryl and I landed in Washington D.C.! Driving through downtown, there were guys selling T-shirts on the sidewalks, I thought, Fourth of July D.C. T-shirts, a collectors item. I called the guy over and bought two shirts and when we opened them at the hotel, they read, Usher in Concert! Nothing to do with the Fourth of July.

Sports Shorts: The Amateur Golf Championships for 14 and 15 year olds will be held November 4th-6th and favored to win is 14 year old Charlie Woods, Tiger’s son and Tiger will caddy.
