Early Movie Review: Opening tomorrow midnight, Barbie. This is a tough one, while it is witty, fun and funny and campy, it also has flaws. Too silly in spots, a bit wokey, the character development is lacking, but it is very entertaining. Director Greta Gerwig does a great job maneuvering you through the film and this may shock you but I think Ryan Gosling could get an Oscar nomination, he steals the show. The film has a lot of heart and certainly the most unique film of the year (PG-13) – (2 Hours) – (3 Stars).
Later this week, a review of Oppenheimer, the man who invented the Atom bomb, but today, I want to share with you some 411 on the star, Cillian Murphy. The British actor who gained fame in Peaky Blinders. Cillian is generally considered the biggest whinging actor alive. A character flaw that makes a person complain about everything to the point people don’t want to be around him, even complains that he is rich and famous.
Odds and Ends: Who are these idiots who went to Death Valley just to experience the record setting 131 degrees, why not get a gun, shoot yourself in the foot and experience that too?
