Hi everybody, I’m at my check-up for my post open heart surgery. Feeling great and look forward to being back live tomorrow.
I had the not surprising news yesterday about Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s TV show being canceled. However, should be pointed out The Rock’s 2012 movie, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, 2016’s Moana, 2017’s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and last year’s Black Adam all made big bucks. And he is currently shooting Red Notice for Netflix also starring Gal Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds. And he’s in post-production for his Amazon financed movie Red One with Chris Evans, Lucy Liu and J.K. Simmons. That Rock is a busy guy.
Sports Shorts: On Thursday, the first day of the U.S. Golf Open, and while I’ve been blessed to play some of the greatest golf courses around the country and probably all the great courses in California, I’ve never played the L.A. Country Club where the tournament is being played. However a lot of celebrities are members LACC, including Larry David, Jason Bateman, Snoop Dogg, Will Smith, Adam Sandler, Justin Timberlake, Samual L. Jackson, Bill Murray, Vince Gill, Justin Bieber and others. And years ago there was a two day tournament every week at LACC, matching up Jack Benny, Groucho Marx, Milton Berle and Walt Disney. That’s Hollywood history.
Odds and Ends: With summer here, publicist say hottest celebrity in a bikini is Sofia Vergara. … Cheryl Hines has wrapped her new film Popular Theory, a comedy about High School hijinks and Cheryl has canceled all other gigs to campaign for her husband, Robert Kennedy Jr. who as you know is running for President.
Just Crap: I never believed Britney was hooked on Meth, that’s just plain crap. … I haven’t heard it, but I have heard that Sam Smith and Madonna’s collaboration called, Vulgar, is so bad, it’s a joke and that people are laughing at it, it’s crap. … I’ve always had a thing for Eva Longoria but her last movie, War of The Worlds, is so bad it can’t even get on cable. Eva had to be prouder when she was flipping burgers at Wendy’s in Corpus Christi when in High School. I mean this movie is crap.
