Movie Review Friday: Told you I love The Little Mermaid, which opens today. Two other movies opening today, the hideous About My Father with Robert De Niro. The old story about an engaged couple introduce themselves to the brides family. The only good thing about this movie it’s only 89 minutes long, which is still 89 too long (1/2 Star). … But wait, it gets worse. Kandahar with Gerard Butler as a CIA agent in Afghanistan will bore you for two hours! It’s a hodgepodge of confusion (Rated R) – (0 Stars). Go see The Little Mermaid.
Movie News: The rumors are getting louder and louder. You can bet Eddie Murphy will star in the new Pink Panther movie. It will be a high budget live action film. … And there is a great documentary coming this fall on Netflix about Anita Pallenberg. Who’s that? She was the Rolling Stones muse for decades. Originally she was The Rolling Stones Brian Jones girlfriend, who died in 1969 from a mysterious drowning, which I still question, but I’ll move on. After Brian died, she segued to Keith Richards who she had three kids and guided the Stones future. Anita died in 2017 and the documentary will use Scarlett Johansson as Anita’s voice. The documentary is called Anita. This will shed a new light on the Rolling Stones and become a cult classic.
TV News: Coming June 8th on Peacock, a new comedy series that has lot of promise called, Based on a True Story. Starring Kaley Cuoco, Chris Messina and Tom Bateman. They are a Realtor, former tennis star and a plumber who are friends and become obsessed with solving true crimes. Peacock Network June 8th, 1 season and 8 episodes.
