By far, most bizarre news story of the year. The story that Harry and Meghan were chased by wild and crazy paparazzi through the streets of New York at speeds nearing 90 MPH for 2 hours and almost involved in a fatal accident! Why are the paparazzi chasing those two publicity hounds? Why would they run? This thing sounds, how should I say, made up or at least grossly exaggerated! Where’s the video? A 2 hour chase in New York City and no video? Come On Man! This whole thing stinks.
Love Scoop: There was a lot of Hollywood jaw flopping yesterday regarding Ben Affleck and his ex-Jennifer Garner having a serious discussion. Don’t be surprised if it was all about their 17 year old daughter Violet and where she’ll be going to college.
Got a lot of Movie News: Starting with a quick movie review of Johnny Depp’s new, Jeanne du Barry, where Depp plays King Henry the 15th and his mistress Jeanne Du Berry played by French actress Maïwenn, set in 1773. Does it sound slow and boring? It Is. And speaking of Depp, other than Sweeney Tod and Pirates of the Caribbean, Depp has had one bomb after another, from Alice Through the Looking Glass, Murder on the Orient Express, The Lone Ranger, Tusk, Fantastic Beasts, just bomb after another. Depp needs to retire. … Another great trailer dropped on line, checkout Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One. Never been a big Tom Cruise fan but this movie looks incredible. Release date July 12th.
Strange Movie News: A year ago, Premier Entertainment spent $96,000 to make the slasher horror movie, Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey. Unbelievable it has made $4 million worldwide, so not surprisingly the sequel is in motion. Rights for the sequel have already been sold in Mexico, Germany, France, Italy, Russia, Australia, India and New Zealand just to name a few. Another Winnie-the-Pooh slasher movie?
And union solidarity, sort of. Unions representing the NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, Major League Soccer players and the Women’s Soccer League have all signed on to respect and honor the writers strike, however, they won’t be canceling any games!
