Movie Review: Dungeons and Dragon: Honor Among Thieves is one of the best movies of the year! New technology, special effects and creative story line and a lot of laughs. The two main stars, Chris Pine and Michelle Rodriguez go into a new world that is visually unique, with one goal, steal an item that is a one of a kind with out being caught! The monsters are incredible and you will laugh out loud, but watch out for those wild enemies who are everywhere. It has it all, role playing, adventures, thrills, love and humor, but will it make money? Insiders say this is a gamble, how many people are into D&D? The movie cost $151 million to make, but I predict it will make $70 million this weekend world wide, A.K.A. a hit (PG-13) – (2 Hours) – (4 Stars).
More and more stars are taking time off from acting because they are making millions endorsing products in TV and print ads. 20 years ago that would have been considered beneath a big actor to do that, but not anymore! Here are just a few star that are acting like carny people pimping goods, John Travolta hacking for T-Moble, Shaq for Icy Hot and some car wash joints, Lady Gaga for Dom Perigon, Snoop Dogg for Corona beer and lighters, George Clooney for his Tequila, Johnny Depp for Christian Dior, William Shatner and Kaley Cuoco for Priceline and even Elton john for Uber Eats. And the rich get richer.
Sports Shorts: Mayor League Baseball is up and running and the Final 4 is this weekend but the National Football League is talking about 14 year old Eric Kilburn, a freshman high school football player in Michigan who’s 6’10, weighs 380 lbs, wears a 23 shoe whose still growing and runs like the wind.
When growing up in Hawaii, we were taught to always treat the animals in the ocean with respect, so no surprise the 30 swimmers harassing a pod of Dolphins off the coast of Kona last Sunday were not locals, from Los Angeles, Seattle, Canada, Dallas and Phoenix. As we say back home, hey no act! Idiots, harassing dolphins.
