Report for Friday, Mar 3rd

Today’s report originates from St. Louis, Missouri and back in studio Monday!

It’s Movie Review Friday and we start with Creed 3, and it’s the best of the franchise! Starring and directed by Michael B. Jordan, this movie is a knockout in every way. Starts off with Adonis Creed now three years retired, sees some dude leaning against his car, asking for an autograph. But what this guy (played brilliantly by Johnathon Majors) really wants is justice and a chance to rebuild his life of the last 18 years spent in prison, a prison sentence for a crime that Creed was involved but skated. While in prison he’s been working out to be the greatest boxer in the world and to rebuild his life he gets Creed to pay him back for taking the rap and letting him train and eventually fight him. This movie is well written, acted, compelling and you don’t need to be a boxing fan to love it (PG-13) – (2 Hours) – (4 Stars).

Next movie is, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, starring Jason Statham, Aubry Plaza, Josh Hartnett and Hugh Grant. When a movie is officially described as an Action, Comedy, Mystery and Thriller, it is usually none of the above and that’s true here. A new weapon that could be destroy the world must be intercepted with the help of a corny billionaire, a goofy movie star and a bunch of inept operatives comes across as a bad, hodgepodge confusing mess. (Rated R) – (2 Hours) – (1 Stars). … However, remember there are a lot of great movies out there besides Creed 3, including Jesus Revolution, Cocaine Bear and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumaina, a great selection of very different movies!

TV News: Two Time Oscar winner Robert De Niro has signed to do his first TV series, a six part Netflix thriller called Zero Day, described only a serious drama that De Niro searches for the truth in a world in crisis. That’s all we know now. Stay tuned. … From the new to news on an old sequel, Bebe Neuwirth who played Fraser’s wife in the original series will reprise her character as Lilith, as Fraser moves back to Boston, coming to Paramount+ this summer.
